Message from SSRCE for Parents of Pre-Primary Students Attending in 2020-21

Good Morning Folks,
As you know, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (EECD) recently rolled out a before and after-school program model to support our pre-primary and Elementary students. The Departments of Education and Early Childhood Development and Communities, Culture and Heritage want to learn more about the need for before and after programs for families whose children will be attending Pre-primary. As such, they are requesting information about before and after programs that are currently available to your school. All principals of elementary schools should complete the survey, regardless of whether or not there is currently a PPP in your school (i.e., PP programs are located offsite, or programs that will not open until September 2020).

The survey should only take about 2 minutes to complete.

To access the survey, click on the following links:

The survey will open on December 4th and close on December 13th.

The parent survey is intended to help us understand the need for before and after programming from parents whose children will be attending the Pre-primary Program in 2020-21.

The parent survey is being communicated via NS government Twitter and Facebook. We will also have a link to the survey on our webpage and through Facebook..

I have attached a link to the surveys, as well as some frequently asked questions about the Nova Scotia Before and After Program. If you have any additional questions, please let me know.
