Students Helping Students
An
information evening on internet safety is being planned to take place sometime
in February, if there is enough interest from parents. The focus is on how to insure your
child’s safety on the internet.
Such topics as cyber bullying, protecting your identity, how to spot
dangerous situations on the net, and how to recognize where your children have
been on the net will be covered.
Mr. Jamie Renouf, who teaches CRS at the school, and an RCMP officer
would lead this information evening.
At this point we are interested in knowing how many parents might be
interested in attending the session. We
would like to go forward with this program but we need at least 12 parents to
justify bringing in outside presenters. If you
would like to attend, please call Ginny Verge, the school counsellor, at 541
8285.
The date for the session will be in the
February newsletter and posted on the school website after Christmas break.
